Gilmer Consulting LLC supports small business owners to provide resources (including funding) and business advice to profitably grow businesses. I  am the President of Gilmer Consulting and I have been certified as a small business advisor by the Organization for Entrepreneurial Development (OED). OED is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded on the premise of making small business owners more successful to grow local economies.

In support of OED’s goal I provide a Local Business Assistance Program where I meet with small business owners and provide a free session to discuss any issues or concerns about their business. The meeting helps owners and myself to determine if there is value in a longer term relationship. My goal is the same as OED’s; help make small businesses succeed and grow more profitably. I also see a lot of business owners who need to restore balance in their lives. Whether it is a work life balance that has gotten out of control (allowing an owner no free time) or an imbalance between the challenge of the business versus the reward, I can reduce the challenge by supporting owners in managing their business and closing the gap between where the business is today and where they want it to be.

As you can see from my LinkedIn site I have considerable business experience with both large and small businesses. It is the work I have done with small businesses that has driven my passion for small business consulting.
